Why are PDF patterns protected?

At Evelyne Patterns, every sewing pattern represents many hours of work: design creation, pattern drafting, grading, testing, writing instructions, layout, filming tutorials…

To protect this work while offering a simple and pleasant shopping experience, PDF patterns are protected by several security measures.

The goal is not to complicate your downloads, but to limit the illegal sharing of files so that I can continue creating new sewing patterns.

Downloading a PDF pattern

After placing your order, you will receive an email containing a secure download link.

• The download link is valid for 7 days.
• Once it expires, you can generate a new one directly from your customer account (up to 5 times).
• Downloads are limited to prevent unauthorized file sharing.

💡 My advice: download your pattern upon receipt and save it on your computer or in a storage space such as Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, or OneDrive. This way, you will be able to access it easily at any time.

Personalized patterns

Each downloaded PDF pattern is automatically personalized with:

• your name;
• your customer ID;
• your email address.

This information is discreetly embedded in the file to identify its origin in the event of unauthorized distribution.

It has no impact on printing or using the pattern.

Why these protections?

Creating a sewing pattern is a real profession that requires a lot of time, skills, and investment.

Illegal file sharing directly threatens the development of new models and the longevity of my business.
