Couture hack: tutorial for sewing the Chloé sewing pattern without a lining

Inside view of the Chloé dress that I sewed without a button placket (tutorial available here). For this version, I used the same fabric as my main fabric for the lining, but you can use a different fabric if you prefer ❤️
The Chloé sewing pattern is fully lined; if you wish to sew it without a lining but still with beautiful finishes, then here is the sewing hack you will need to follow:
Patterning
To do this, here are the modifications to be made to the pattern:
On pieces no. 1 - Back and no. 2 - Front:
- At the side seam, add 0.5 cm along the entire height. This will allow you to create a French seam and thus have a lovely finish.

- Draw a line 4 cm below the bottom of the last channel you wish to sew. This will represent the line on which you will cut your lining.

For example, in the diagram above, I chose to sew only the first two channels.

Cutting
Once the modifications have been made, you can proceed to cut your pieces, ensuring you cut the linings for pieces no. 1 - Back and no. 2 - Front at the line drawn previously.

Assembly
The sewing steps remain unchanged up to step 3.
Step 3) We will now assemble the front and back pieces at the sides. To have beautiful finishes, you will make French seams: wrong sides together, pin the front and back pieces at the side seams. Sew at 0.5 cm.
Trim the seam allowance to 2 mm from the edge, then turn your garment right side out.
Right sides together, sew at 1 cm from the edge. Press the seam allowances towards the back.

Steps 4 to 8) Refer to the booklet.
Step 09) Before sewing the bottom of the last channel, using your iron, mark a fold of 2 cm towards the wrong side. Pin all the way along, then sew your last channel. Press.
Steps 10 to 25) Refer to the booklet.
