It's everywhere! It's the big trend: the balaclava. So I decided to offer you a pattern so you can sew your own versions. It's a beginner-friendly design that requires very little fabric and will be perfect for you or as a gift for loved ones. Plus, you can have fun choosing your fabric! Whether it's woven or knitted, the important thing is simply that it has a nice drape.

You will receive the pattern in A4, US Letter, A0, and Projector formats, with layer management to select the pattern with or without seam allowances. The Projector format comes in two versions: one for light fabrics and one for dark fabrics. You will also receive an instruction booklet that will guide you step-by-step through the sewing process with detailed diagrams.

It is designed for adults and patterned based on a head circumference of 55 cm and a head height of 62 cm.

What materials do I need to complete my project?
What materials do I need to complete my project?
The lining is visible at the knot. You can therefore choose to play with materials by lining your balaclava with another fabric or by using the same fabric as your main fabric.
If you use the same fabric for your lining: you will need 105 cm of main fabric (in a width of 140 cm).
If you line your balaclava with a different fabric than your main fabric, then you will need 70 cm of main fabric and 70 cm of lining (always in a width of 140 cm).
What is layer management?
What is layer management?
Layer management is an option included in all sewing patterns, regardless of their format, which allows you to print only the sizes you want.
This is possible thanks to the use of the Adobe Acrobat Reader tool, available for free online.
Instructions on how to use layers are provided in the instruction booklet.
Since the balaclava is one size fits all, you will have layers with and without seam allowances.
What units are used?
What units are used?
In the French version of the sewing pattern, the unit used is the centimeter .
In contrast, the English translated versions have measurements in centimeters and inches.
